Happy Friday! I’m looking forward to the long weekend since in the US, we have Monday off in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. While a road trip would have been a fun way to celebrate the long weekend, I am actually throwing two dinner parties! I do love throwing a good party.
My biggest decision now is what to do for the tablescape. Now that we’re halfway through winter, I wanted to do something that feels ‘cozy and comfy’, but does NOT scream ‘holidays’. After some research, I found these ideas…
Classic gold – can’t go wrong with pretty winter white and gold color scheme. This one feels very warm and elegant, perfect for a chilly evening.
Coloful Prints – the ikat print has been a favorite for a while now. I especially love the combination of bright blue mixed with a touch of orange-tan and ivory. It feels a little old-world and a little playful all at once.
Woodsy & Rustic – I just love this design. It’s quintessential California – laid-back and cool. Although our dinner will be indoors, I wish I had a space on our patio for an outdoors dinner party like this! I could totally re-create this indoors, yes?
Can’t decide! This may be one of those last minute game time decisions. In any case, there will be plenty of food, an abundance of wine, and lots of good conversations going. Have a great weekend everyone!
