Starting around a month ago, cooking was the last thing on my mind, especially on the weekends. During this pregnancy, we’ve gone out to eat a lot — not only to capture last few precious date nights, but also to explore as many local restaurants as possible for future take-out / delivery options once baby arrives.
This past weekend, we decided to venture out to a new town: Los Altos. I’ve heard it’s a great place to live, with beautiful homes, luscious foliage, and all in all the perfect place to raise a family. While in search for brunch, we found a very charming downtown area and spent a good few hours exploring this town. We grabbed brunch at Voyageur Du Temps, a French-meets-Japanese bakery with bright, fresh, modern decor. We walked down Main Street and popped into local shops and found even more delectable bakeries and restaurants. Los Altos is a little gem of a neighborhood, nestled next to Mountain View and Sunnyvale and we’ll certainly be back, next time with baby stroller in tow. That matcha croissant is calling my name!
