Hello and happy Monday! How was your weekend? I have been jet-setting all over the country this past month, from work events to graduations to bridal showers. This spring/summer is flying by so fast.
Speaking of which, Father’s Day is coming up in less than a week! I am just beginning to think about what I’d like to do for my step-dad this year. He is all the way in New Jersey so spending a quality day with him seems unlikely at this point. The good thing is my parents will be visiting us in a few weeks so I hope to make it up to him then. What will be on my gift list? Since I see him only once or twice a year now, I would like to make him a homemade meal…something warm, satisfying, and made from the heart. I might add a trip to the golfing range as well.
Let me know what you are planning for Father’s Day and if you have any great ideas for treating fathers who live farther away. Have a great start to the week!
Wheels up! As you’re reading this, I’m on way to sunny and beautiful Los Angeles. I’ll be there for a little over a week so please follow me on Instagram and Twitter for what I’m up to!
As promised, I’m sharing with you my last installment of this year’s holiday gift guide — presents for the family. If you’re stuck on ideas for a brother, cousin, or just the parents, here are some ideas for thought. Enjoy!
Good Morning! With just about one week to go, how is everyone’s holiday shopping going? Personally, I have to shop for a few more family members and hope to check off my list this week.
Continuing on with this year’s gift guide, here are some suggestions for a friend or even a bestie. This is one of my favorite people to shop for as I would love anything on this list! Anything else in mind you would love to gift to a girlfriend? As the saying goes, “one for you, one for me”. 🙂
Have a great start to your week and happy Monday! xoxo
It’s that time of year again! The annual Morning Espresso holiday gift guide. This year I’ve decided to share my gift ideas in 3 installments: the significant other, the bestie/girlfriend, and family.
Above are my selections for the significant other. Some of these items the hubby already has and some are new things he doesn’t know he needs yet! I hope you enjoy perusing through this list. Do you have any gift ideas for the significant other that I missed? Please share in the comments section below. Happy shopping! xoxo
I know we are past the gift-giving frenzy of the holidays, but there is one gift-giving trend for 2013 that has caught my attention. The monogrammed gift. Monogrammed gifts provide an extra touch of personalization for ‘that someone special’ and I’ve been seeing initials on everything–from mugs to jewelry to shirts. I remember when I was younger and would go to stores like Things Remembered to get items monogrammed for my family and friends. It just made my gift more unique (and also showed I put some thought into the gift!). Well, I personally like this idea and would love to buy one or two Anthropologie mugs below.
While the holidays may be over, there is that one ‘holiday’ coming up dedicated to you and your special someone where you might want to think about gifting something personalized. Valentine’s Day. Too early?
Since I am a wine lover and cocktail enthusiast myself, I thought it would only be appropriate to have a separate gift guide for those who love…wine and cocktails! I do have a knack for collecting stemware (can’t have too many) and gift barware items to my husband all the time (he’s the resident bartender at home) so creating this list was super fun for me. These are truly gifts that keep on giving. Without further ado…
Food & Wine’s 2013 Wine Guide (I own this book and refer to it quite often!)
Today I have a gift guide for the man (or men) in your life! While in the past I found it very challenging to shop for boyfriends and guy friends (even for my dad, who never wants anything), now that I’ve been married for about year, I find that shopping for the hubby gets easier. Maybe because we are both more vocal about what we’d like? I’ve enjoyed putting this list together, and hope you enjoy reading. By the way, many of these ideas could easily roll-over to brothers, fathers, male cousins. Good luck on hunting for that perfect gift!
With two weeks (and counting!) until the big Christmas Day, I am dedicating this week to gift guides for the various special and VIP people in your life. Let’s start with gifts for your girlfriends, from BFFs to co-workers. Have you started shopping yet??
