Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! We spent most of the long weekend in Carmel, CA to celebrate our anniversary. We had beautiful weather all three days, even along the coastline. I am amazed at how much Northern California has to offer each time we visit a different city. Carmel has so much history, is full of quaint homes, and is a art lover’s sanctuary. I would love to come back again!
Shirt – J.Crew / Jacket – A-Thread (similar here) / Shorts – Ann Taylor (past season, similar here) / Shoes – from small boutique shop (TOMS shoes are similar) / Bag – Coach (loving this one) / Sunglasses – Ray-Ban
I’m headed to LA this weekend to celebrate Christmas with the family. I’ve been waiting patiently for this trip yet have already begun packing! Since I will be spending much needed play time with four nieces (three of them are triplets!) I will be keeping the outfits comfortable and casual. For fun and since it is the holidays, I will be throwing in a few accessories into the mix. The A-thread necklace has been on repeat this month, because, well, it’s such a pretty statement piece! I love this Gorjana wrap bracelet (sold out for now, but check their website here). It is super chic and versatile. The Baublebar jewelry and Coach purse are brand new so check back to see how I will be styling them!
Hope y’all have a wonderful holiday and spend lots of quality time with family and friends! I will be posting tomorrow, but will be taking a break on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Have a happy Friday!
Jacket: A-thread, Scarf: vendor in Asia, Shirt: Gap, Ankle-Strap heels: Zara, Bracelet: David Yurman
It was a rainy weekend through and through so I had a chance to throw on a beanie and take my new a-thread lightweight utility jacket for a spin. The hunter green color juxtaposes nicely with my tried and true purple leopard scarf and navy skinny jeans. I bought the purple leopard scarf on a past trip to Asia and just love the twist it gives to the usual leopard style. I wore this outfit to run errands and grab coffee/brunch, and the casual, yet chic outfit kept me warm all day!
I didn’t get a good shot of the inner lining of the jacket, but look how beautiful the checkered pattern is. Definitely will be wearing this jacket many more times.

One way I like to accessorize a monochromatic look is with a colorful statement necklace. It instantly adds a pop of color and also pulls together your look. Whether you’re going for classic business attire or a fun, flirty going-out outfit, there are many options out there to choose from. Here are some recent finds from A-Thread, a Los-Angeles based company owned by a sibling duo.
How do you like to accessorize?
Happy Friday! I am super excited for the weekend. I will be attending two Halloween/birthday/housewarming parties Saturday night and the invites call for costumes…still deciding (yep, last minute) on the costumes but I’m looking forward to dressing up.
It’s supposed to be gorgeous this weekend (80 degree weather), so I’m happy to be ditching the sweater dresses for now and donning some skirts. Just ordered the cute peplum top above from Zara and can’t wait for it to arrive!
Here are some links I found this week that are inspirational and fun:
Bootights: tights specifically made for boots? tights with socks for your feet? Um, yes please!
This unique belt is fun to cinch up and accessorize those sweater dresses.
On the topic of accessorizing…these baubles from A-Thread are great to punch up any outfit.
Stumbled upon Jennifer Chong’s photography and design blog and Pinterest page…check out her photos…food never looked this good!
Have a great weekend and happy Halloween!
