Wheels up! I am on my way to Hawaii today. We’re headed to Kona (on the Big Island) for the next several days. Words cannot describe how excited I am! I am somewhat of a guest on this trip since my husband’s company is sponsoring this mini-vacation for the whole firm. While we will have a couple of days to explore the island, I am really looking forward to doing absolutely nothing. Sometimes, it’s the best way to recharge. Please follow me on Twitter and Instagram (@EspressowithEm) to get the latest pictures and updates from Hawaii.
In the spirit of going on a beach vacation and also thanks to the 80+ degree weather we’ve been having, I pulled out this tunic dress to wear earlier this week. It’s light, easy-breezy, and keeps me cool when the temps are high. Black and white is seriously trending up again and the dress is a nice change-up to spring’s popular pastel colors.
I hope you have a great day — we are almost close to the weekend! xoxo
Dress – BCBG Max Azria (past season, loving this dress) / Sandals – LOFT (past season, fun pair for this season)
Happy Monday! I am writing to you from sunny Los Angeles. A good friend of mine got hitched this weekend in downtown LA at a gorgeous venue called Vibiana. The couple did such a beautiful job with the wedding. From the fresh, white flower arrangements, to the outdoor posh cocktail hour, to inviting an Indonesian popstar to entertain guests, the wedding was a dazzling event (not to mention the stylish individuals that studded the guest list!).
I wore this floor length BCBG Max Azria dress to the wedding. It fit like a glove in the store and I just knew this was the one. With peplum details at the waist and cut-outs in the back, the dress is both modern and sophisticated. Love!
Hope you are having a great start to your week so far and that the next couple of days are filled with love, laughter, and lots of family time!
Thanks for supporting my blog and taking the time to stop by each day!

With all the sales going on leading up to Black Friday, I’ve been stocking up on sweaters, especially anything cozy and embellished like this jeweled sweater. With the neckline decorated with jewels, it’s like you’re wearing a sweater and statement necklace in one. For a date to the movies this week, I added a pair of zippered leggings and slipped on some bright heels. Et voila!
J.Crew Jeweled Donegal Sweater (love this one) / Zippered Leggings from Bloomingdales (similar and on sale) / J.Crew Everly Suede Pumps / BCBG Edie Bowler Bag (seen many times on the blog, similar version) / Prada Sunglasses
I love a print dress that has a unique pattern and lives in beautiful colors. This BCBG Max Azria is a favorite of mine: a feminine yet sleek silhouette with a geometric print and contrasting band lines. We had 80 degree weather this past weekend, so I brought this dress back out for a spin.
How was your weekend? The hubby and I went bowling for the first time in the five years that we have known each other. Little did each of us know that the other has a knack for the sport! We’ll definitely be bowling again real soon.
Hope your day is off to a great start and thank you for stopping by! Come visit me on Instagram and on Twitter (EspressowithEm)!
