This past weekend, we took our nieces out for a day at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). I’ve always loved going to art museums since I was a little girl and thought this would be a fun and educational way to spend time with the nieces. The museum itself is quite large, encompassing several buildings with multiple floors of work within each building. We must have walked 3-4 miles that day! As expected, we were not allowed to take any pictures inside the museum buildings so we only have shots outside in the courtyard area. It truly was an educational experience — we covered samurai art, German Cinema in the 1920s, Jazz Age Modernist art, photography from California photographer Larry Sultan, among others. I highly recommend heading over to LACMA the next time you are in LA.
