Stripes and Kicks

Happy Wednesday!  It continues to be a crazy week in the work department, so I treasure the days (mostly weekends) when I have some down time and can just sit with a magazine and read to my heart’s content.  I know it’s only Wednesday, but I’m looking forward to the weekend already!

My bump is growing ever so much each week and today I hit 21 weeks.  I’ve been wearing shift dresses non-stop because it’s such a cinch to put on in the morning and 9.9 out of 10 times, the dress fits!  Here I am captured under another sunny day in one of my new favorite striped dresses with faux leather trim sleeves.  I am ready to leave the house to play some mini golf.  Since it was going to be a big walking day, I wore my Converse All-Stars.  A chic, but functional and sporty look, no?

Hope you are having a great day!

Weekend at Home

The hubby and I finally had a semi-quiet weekend back at home.  We’ve been traveling non-stop this month and after all the fun, it just feels good to be home!  We took advantage of the beautiful weather and walked around downtown Mountain View.  After grabbing a coffee, we ended up at a pizza place to watch the World Cup.  For those of you who watched yesterday’s game, how crazy was Portugal’s last minute second goal to tie the game?  It was so unthinkable considering the US was just 20 seconds away from winning the game.  I was at the edge of my seat the whole time!

Striped Mini

How was your weekend?  I wore this outfit to a sushi double-date dinner over the weekend.  The skirt’s linen and silk blend makes it a favorite in my closet this spring.  Plus, stripes are always a great idea.  Dress it up with a pair of heeled sandals (as seen here) or dress it down with some flats.

This week, I’m looking at three more days until a much-needed vacation.  But hey, who’s counting? 🙂

Have a wonderful week!  xoxo

Keeping it simple today with a leather skirt and sweater.  With an edgier skirt like this one, I chose to pair it with a top in a similar color tone.  It is a perfect look for those days where it’s not quite warm and not quite cold.  Wear this with flats during the day and take it into night with some strappy heels.

Happy Thursday!  xoxo

Fit and Flare

I can’t believe we are on the last few days of February…how times flies!  Has anyone started vacation planning for the spring and summer?  One more thing to add to the to-do list!

I am all about navy blue right now.  It’s such a great color to mix and match with and lets me take a break from the standard black/gray/white winter color combo.  This dress and blazer together are perfect for work, but I can also wear the dress alone for a more fancy night out.  Love!

Shades of Pink

Today, I am flying to Denver for a training class.  I’m excited to hit the ground running for the class, but definitely not excited about the chilly weather!  For someone who has grown up on the east coast, you would think I’m used to the snow and cold.  Well…let’s just say California has spoiled me with its amazing warm weather!

Holiday Glam

Happy Monday!  I am writing to you from sunny Los Angeles.  A good friend of mine got hitched this weekend in downtown LA at a gorgeous venue called Vibiana.  The couple did such a beautiful job with the wedding.  From the fresh, white flower arrangements, to the outdoor posh cocktail hour, to inviting an Indonesian popstar to entertain guests, the wedding was a dazzling event (not to mention the stylish individuals that studded the guest list!).

I wore this floor length BCBG Max Azria dress to the wedding.  It fit like a glove in the store and I just knew this was the one.  With peplum details at the waist and cut-outs in the back, the dress is both modern and sophisticated.  Love!

Hope you are having a great start to your week so far and that the next couple of days are filled with love, laughter, and lots of family time!

Thanks for supporting my blog and taking the time to stop by each day!

Lady Meets Rocker Chic

Good Morning!  Here we are starting a brand new week.  How was everyone’s weekend?

It’s been very cold this past week (well, cold for California that is) and to change things up a bit, I decided to beat the cold with this Rebecca Taylor Tweed Moto Vest.  With an off-center zipper, leather trimmings, and all over tweed, this vest is super chic and a great addition to my closet.  Expect to see this vest many times on the blog!  Can’t wait to wear it with a silk blouse and leather leggings for an even more rocker chick style.

We put up the Christmas tree over the weekend and decorated the house with lights and small ornaments.  It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas!  The holidays are so much fun and I love sharing festive moments with family and friends.  Next up, writing the Christmas cards!  Do you and your loved ones/friends have any traditions you do together during the holidays?

Have a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by the blog!  xoxo

A Timex Classic

Another crazy work week is underway already!  Yet I will have no fear as I power through the days in my favorite work wear and get myself to meetings on time with my new Timex Fly-Back Chronograph watch.  I’m all set!

What Makes Your Timex Tick

Happy Monday!  Apologize for the brief hiatus here on the blog. Last week turned out to be super busy.

One big change over the weekend…I cut my hair!  I decided to chop it all off and go with an angled bob.  I’ve been feeling very refreshed and not to mention, washing my hair has been a cinch.  What do you think, good move?

Today, I’m wearing some new items.  I bought this Marc by Marc Jacobs blazer over the weekend and am so enamored with the bright red.  The contrasting purple lapel makes the blazer even more interesting.  Blazers are really a girl’s best friend.  Dress it up for work and then throw on some jeans before heading to dinner.

I’m also wearing a beautiful Timex watch, the Intelligent Quartz Fly-Back Chronograph.  It’s made with a stainless steel case, leather strap, and is just the perfect combo of sporty and sophisticated.  The bright, feminine blazer really balances out the more masculine watch.  Love it!

I hope you have a great start to the week!  Thanks for stopping by!  xoxo
