A Day in Capri

Happy Friday!  To celebrate TGIF, I am posting some sunny photos that remind me of the magical island of Capri (and town of Anacapri).  This was one of the best day trips we took from Sorrento, a small town in southern Italy that overlooks the Bay of Naples.  To get to Capri, you take a ferry ride from Sorrento’s port.  What can I say…sunny skies, clear blue waters, and amazing views from top of the mountain, I definitely need to go back!

I’m wearing a dress from Aleeza, a boutique store I stumbled on in Rome.  The clothes are made with fun prints and are super comfortable, perfect for those hot days in Italy.  Take a look at their website here.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Monday!  Today I’m sharing some photos we took during our day trip to the Amalfi Coast in Southern Italy.  The last photo above is truly a perfect postcard scene…calm blue waters, warm sunny sky, and the gorgeous Italian Riviera as a backdrop.  I highly recommend a trip to the Amalfi Coast if you haven’t been and definitely take the bus ride down from Sorrento (or Positano) – both dizzying and breathtaking!

I have finally gotten around to sorting through our Europe honeymoon photos.  We took over 3000 photos!  Phew.

I was very organized when I packed for this trip.  I wanted to bring 1 carry-on bag and one tote…only.  Yep, for the entire 4 weeks we would be in Europe.  The strategy was to keep to a simple color scheme, accessorize with color, and pack layers.  It worked out quite well, actually!  These photos were taken in Paris near the Notre Dame on one of the few sunny days during our visit to the city.

Do you have any packing tips or strategies for long international trips?  Please share!

Classic Chanel

When I walked out of the Chanel store in Florence, Italy, I was floating on cloud nine.  It is true – there is something magical about buying yourself Chanel.  The buttery, soft nude leather and the gold and leather intertwined chain of this classic flap bag had me at hello.  Even the cloth bag is so lavish and luxurious.  One of the best shopping moments in memory!

Vienna, A Beautiful City

Hello from Vienna! Here are some pictures from our short stay in Vienna, Austria. I have to say, Vienna is one of the most gorgeous cities I have seen in Europe! Every turn you make, there is a magnificent opera house, cathedral, or beautiful government building. We also stayed at a luxe hotel (right in the heart of the city) and I would love to go back. The Hotel Bristol treated us like royalty!

Now, en route to Prague!

As I remember from my last trip to Sorrento, the area is just gorgeous. Two separate day trips to the Amalfi Coast and Capri were just perfect – gave us time to relax and absorb plenty of vitamin D. It was so hot that I decided to buy a hat – I am carrying it in the above photo. I seem to collect these fedoras everywhere I visit!

We are now on our last leg of our Italy visit, onwards to Florence. Ciao!

Hello! I know my posts have been few and far between while I’m in Europe so thank you to my readers for being patient with me!

Quick update from abroad…if you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ll know that I’ve left France for a few days now. We had an amazing four days in Rome, despite the 95+ degree weather (oh, who’s complaining?). 😉
The Colosseum, Roman Forum, Spanish Steps, etc., everything was breathtaking and full of rich history. The best part has to be the carbs and wine. I can do an entire post on the food we ate in Rome. It has been non-stop pasta eating for days!

I’m currently in Sorrento, soaking up some sun rays and I can’t wait for our day trips to Amalfi Coast and Capri coming up.

Some photos from this week:
