Perfect Flat Shoe

While I was planning for my trip to Taiwan and Bali, I wanted to get a pair of chic flats that was both comfortable and functional.  Cue in Tod’s ‘Gommini Driving Flats.  The shoe itself weighs little to nothing and is easy on the feet.  Furthermore, the suede material is super soft to the touch.  I could really get a pair in every color of the rainbow.

Do you have any favorite brands you go to for a stylish and comfortable pair of flats?  Please share!

A Flirty Valentine’s Day

When I think of Valentine’s Day, I tend to think of wearing pinks and reds.  Well, this year I’m putting a spin on the usual Valentine’s Day outfit with a black on black and pops of color.  What do you think?

Pastel Pink

Happy Monday!  I’m getting a head start on one of my favorite spring trends: pastels!  I don’t normally wear a lot of pink, but a pale, blush pink is just a beautiful color right now and a perfect color topper for a black and white ensemble.  I’ve also styled this coat with a more colorful outfit as seen here.

Hope you had a good weekend!  Mine was relaxing and I spent some downtime catching up on favorite reads.  I’m also really into trying new recipes and have been dabbling with the delicious ones in the Bon Appetit magazine.  I hope to share some successes on the blog soon!

True Blue

A blue leather jacket is a great way to add a fun twist to an all-black outfit.  I’ve been wearing a lot of black lately so I added a punch of color with my leather jacket and Jean-Michel Cazabat Emma pumps.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I am in love with my new Rider bag.  Maroon is a beautiful color and perfect for autumn.

In other news, I survived my first camping trip this past weekend!  We didn’t take too many pictures as it was a “no-technology” kind of weekend.  Cell phones were turned off.  Although I was hesitant at first, I am glad I went on this trip with my friends.  Sitting around the campfire, grilling our meals, sharing stories and laughs, sleeping in the middle of the woods…it really reminds you how lucky we all are to have our everyday luxuries (like heat and hot water!).

How was your weekend?  Here’s to a brand new week and a happy Monday!

Smooth like Red Wine

I picked up this skater dress at Express’s San Francisco Grand Opening party a couple of weeks ago.  The dress is super soft with a quilted pattern that is just so cozy to wear.  One of my favorite fall colors is an oxblood/red-wine color that truly goes well with everything.  A blazer adds a classic and sophisticated silhouette to the overall look.  I am looking forwarding to layering an over-sized comfy sweater over the dress for a more casual style.

Have you found any favorites to add to your wardrobe this fall?  Any colors you can’t stop wearing?

Thanks for stopping by!  xoxo
