Fall Ready (with Mimi Thorisson)

I recently came across this beautiful food blog, Manger, by Mimi Thorisson.  After living in numerous cities, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Paris (and others), Mimi and her husband (photographer Oddur Thorisson) longed for the French countryside and decided to move there with their children and 14 (!) dogs.  Even if cooking isn’t your cup of tea, the photos on Mimi’s blog are inspirational and mouth-watering.  I am eagerly waiting for fall to arrive (next week!) so the cooler temps will encourage me to make some of her recipes.

Some delicious fall-ready food photos from Manger…

Have a great weekend!

The Perfect Boot for Fall

One of the greats about living in sunny California is the weather.  Especially in Sunnyvale, you get perfect, gorgeous weather almost on a daily basis.  As a girl who grew up in the suburbs of New Jersey (and a recent transplant to the Bay area), I am used to experiencing all four seasons and at this time of year (October) you start to feel a chill in the air.

I’ll be heading out to the east coast in two weeks (NY/NJ) for a wedding and to catch up with old friends.  I am super excited for this trip since, with a busy schedule, I don’t make it out to the ‘dirty Jerz’ that often. Of course this gives me the perfect excuse to look for some new additions to my wardrobe!  Although it hasn’t gotten that cold yet on the east side, I have been thinking about boots…
