Hello! How was everyone’s Memorial Day weekend? I spent the weekend in LA visiting the hubby’s family and attending a friend’s birthday pool party. Since my birthday had just passed, we also celebrated with a super-cool and hip dinner at Ink. in West Hollywood. From cocktails to apps to main course and dessert, everything was so delicious! More photos to come on the food we ordered and who the restaurant’s main chef is…
This was the outfit I wore for the birthday dinner. I decided to get creative and put together two ‘oldies but goodies’ pieces from my closet to create something different: a floral spaghetti strap dress + a long sweater vest in a complimentary color. I love my Prabal Gurung for Target strappy sandals and thought the hint of neon was perfect for the outfit. All in all, I had a blast celebrating my birthday in LA!
For those who are throwing an Oscars viewing party this weekend or just want to make your at-home experience a little more fun and festive, here are my ingredients for an easy breezy Oscars party:
1. Throw up some gold and silver balloons = instant flash of celebration.
2. Use colorful straws to accompany your beverages and put a bow-tie on them.
3. No Oscars party is complete without some champagne. Go on, get bubbly.
4. Instead of slaving away in the kitchen making a large meal, bring out the sugar and snacks.
5. And if you really want to get into the celebratory mood, don a fantastic dress!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend was fairly low-key and it felt really good to take care of errands, check out some new restaurants in the Sunnyvale area and enjoy the great weather. In these photos I’m wearing a floral dress from ASOS about to head out to San Francisco. I paired it with simple black Zara heels and a LV clutch.
Since I didn’t get a chance to take a snapshot of the back of the dress (how romantic is the cut-out??) here is a photo of the back.

Well, it’s back to the work week. Hope y’all have a great start to the week!
