I found the perfect lace and sheer white tee at Ann Taylor. It’s lightweight and chic at the same time, perfect for this heatwave we’ve been experiencing in the Bay Area. I wore the top with these patterned shorts during a Hawaiian luau last week. And another favorite of late? These super cool sandals! Who doesn’t love a good crisscrossing strappy sandal? Get ready to see these gems paired multiple times on the blog. 🙂
Happy Monday – hope you had a great first-of-spring weekend! This was the outfit I wore to a pizza and game night on Saturday. I kept it super casual with a white tee and jeans and added a pop of color with my new scarf. San Francisco nights can get chilly so the scarf kept me warm all night. The pizza and wine were good, but unfortunately, my team didn’t win any of the two games we played!
On another game note, are any of you following March Madness? How many upsets did we see these last couple of days?! It’s been crazy and my bracket is hanging on by a thread.
Have a great start to your week! xoxo

After spending a few days in Denver last week, it is great to be back in sunny California! As you can see, I am happy to be in shorts…bright, patterned shorts to be exact. I threw on a navy blazer to make the look slightly more formal, but it can stay casual sans blazer as well.
By the way, it was so nice to spend time with family this weekend. Since my sister-in-law and her family live in Denver, I treasure the moments that we can all be together in one place. Good times!
Have a great week!
Especially on casual days, a touch of Chanel instantly makes an outfit classy. I’ve been living in chunky sweaters and comfy jeans these days as we get through some cloudy weather (I know, nothing to complain about compared to all that snow to the east), so adding pops of color or a nice bag/shoe really jazzes up the look. Look whose working both here!
Who else is happy the weekend is almost here? Have a great day!
It’s been a crazy work week. I’ve been wearing a lot of navy this week so here’s another outfit photo with a beautiful navy and white shirt from Ann Taylor. Happy Thursday!
Ann Taylor Navy and White Blouse (thinking of getting this one) / Ann Taylor Short Sleeve Wool Coat (sold out, similar here) / Forever 21 Denim Favorite Skinny Jeans / J.Crew Everly Suede Pumps / Coach Saffiano Mini Tanner (eyeing this one for spring)
Very happy that Friday has arrived! It is casual Friday at the office which means I get to wear my new Forever 21 dark skinny ankle jeans that arrived this week. I love dressing for casual Fridays because there are so many fun options. Emily VanCamp does it well here in a blazer, white T, cropped jeans and heels.
I’m hoping to catch up with some friends this weekend over a leisure brunch and maybe grab a cocktail or two in Berkeley before I hit up the show Chinglish at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre. My friends have all said this show is hilarious and the actors are great at portraying what it’s like to do business in Asia. Can’t wait! What are y’all up to this weekend?
I look forward to Saturday nights. It’s the night sandwiched between the start of your weekend and the morning after lazy Sunday morning. Casual dinner and a movie? Romantic dinner with the beau? Night on the town with the girls? The options are endless. The canvas for dressing is wide open and you can be creative using just everyday staple items. Let’s see…

What are you up to this Saturday night??
