Friday is here! You all know what I’ll be up to this weekend from my last post, and that means I’ll definitely be donning some red (maybe pink) and gorging on some good Asian food.
For those who’s favorite colors might not be red or pink, I want to share some Valentine’s day inspiration I’m currently coveting that are not all about those colors. Let’s start with the outfit above. How about sharing your love with a (non-red-nor-pink) heart sweatshirt? Play with layers and pull it over a plaid shirt and under a camel coat. Love how the handbag’s pop of red is just the right touch of bright color.
Other ways to get the look:
Wildfox Couture Gold Sparkle Heart
French Connection Leather Skirt
Rails Green/Ivory Plaid Shirt
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
Skirt: Zara, Sweater: Gap, Coat: Bloomingdales (similar here), Necklace: Baublebar,
I wore this black, white and gray ensemble to a photography studio’s open house a few days ago. I started with the leather skirt as my beginning ‘palette’ and worked the rest of the outfit in, focusing on the skirt as the centerpiece. I love how the mix of a classic sweater matches so well with the edgier (and short!) leather skirt. It was cold that night (probably not the right evening to have worn the short skirt, but well worth it) so I tacked on the coat. Love this checkered coat – and it keeps with the classic style.
It’s back to the work week! I hope everyone is having a good start. One of my favorite trends right now is the detailed collar white button shirt. A white button down should be a working girl’s closet staple, but even better is a little bling on the collar! Pair it with a leather skirt and black pumps, and you can’t help but feel great (even if you’re stressed about a million things in the office).
