Sometimes, it just takes a strappy sundress and a messy ponytail to get ready for a day out in the sun. We are still getting plenty of sunshine here in Silicon Valley and I plan to treasure each and every moment! Hope you had a great weekend and got a chance to recharge for the week.

Happy Tuesday! More Bali photos here — these photos were taken after a day of lounging poolside. This was not just any pool, but it was our private pool in our villa! The water was crystal clear blue and with the green foliage in the background, a perfect backdrop for some dreamy photos.
Hope you’re having a great start to the week! xoxo
Maxi dress – Nordstrom (another pretty blue version)
After spending a few days in Denver last week, it is great to be back in sunny California! As you can see, I am happy to be in shorts…bright, patterned shorts to be exact. I threw on a navy blazer to make the look slightly more formal, but it can stay casual sans blazer as well.
By the way, it was so nice to spend time with family this weekend. Since my sister-in-law and her family live in Denver, I treasure the moments that we can all be together in one place. Good times!
Have a great week!

Have you heard? Sarah Jessica Parker has her own shoe line exclusively at Nordstrom! They are designed by Sarah herself in conjunction with the CEO of Manolo Blahnik, George Malkemus.
The collection includes the basics, with black and nude pointy-toe pumps, but there are also some colorful, fancier styles such as T-straps, ankle straps and sandals. The fun part is she’s given each a shoe a name. Can you spot the ‘Carrie’?
What do you think of Sarah Jessica’s new collection?

What did we all think about the Oscars last night? My favorite dress of the night was Lupita Nyong’o’s beautiful Prada dress — what a stunning blue color! The best beauty look for me was definitely Camila Alves and her low bun with soft waves. I saw a lot of peplum details on gowns and more pastels than darker colors. What did you like from the fashion scene at the Oscars?
Watching the Oscars was a nice way to end a rainy (and fairly gloomy) weekend. I spent a lot of time couch-side sipping on Earl Grey tea and reading a new novel I recently started. Such sweet bliss.
Hope you all had a relaxing weekend as well. It’s March already…which means saying hello to spring (soon) and the start of birthday season for me! xoxo

These Valentino patent leather bow pumps are a favorite in my shoe closet. It’s hard not to love a pair of nude, peep-toe pumps with bows! Nude pumps pair with literally everything in my closet and the bows add just the right amount of feminine touch to any outfit. More importantly, I wore these on my wedding day! For as long as I can keep these shoes in good shape, they will be in heavy rotation, all the time.
It’s already been a very hectic start to the work week…if you’re feeling the same, keep your chin up and let’s get through this week together! xoxo

Another crazy work week is underway already! Yet I will have no fear as I power through the days in my favorite work wear and get myself to meetings on time with my new Timex Fly-Back Chronograph watch. I’m all set!

How is everyone’s long weekend so far?? One of my best college friends tied the knot this weekend! It was a three day affair (rehearsal, wedding day, wine tasting) and I wore this blue and green striped maxi to the rehearsal on Friday. This breathable, sleeveless maxi kept me cool all day. We did a lot of walking throughout the rehearsal so I wore my comfortable gladiator sandals. Summer is still going strong in our neck of the woods.
Hope everyone is enjoying a fantastic weekend!

Took advantage of a mid-week warm evening to throw on a pair of jean cut-off shorts and red heels. Where was I headed to after work? Nowhere special! Just a ramen dinner-date with the hubby. 🙂
