I hope all of you are having a great week so far.  It’s ramping up to be a busy one for me – such is the holiday time crunch!  These photos were taken during our last days in LA in one of my favorite spots, Santa Monica.  There’s no trip to LA without a stop into one of my favorite cafes, Demitasse, and a walk down 3rd Street Promenade.  We usually end our day with a cocktail at the Huntley Hotel, but that will have to wait until next time.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by the blog!

Happy Tuesday!  I know I’ve been quiet in the blogging world lately…and I’m sure you can tell from my bump above…I’m expecting!  This little baby boy is due in March 2015 and the hubby and I are just so thrilled.  We are very excited to be nurturing this little one and can’t wait for his arrival next year.

On the home front, I grew out of my ‘normal’ clothes very quickly and had to shop for larger sizes pretty early on.  Although I’ve been buying larger sizes (M instead of XS), I’m not wearing maternity clothes yet.  I’m sure I will soon.  While I might be wearing a different size, you can be sure style is not going away!

I hope you are having a wonderful week!  xoxo

Airport Attire

I don’t normally post very casual outfits on the blog, but since I’ve been traveling non-stop lately I thought I would share what I wore on the plane on my recent cross-country trip to NY.  The key to longer flights is comfort.  I like to use a pair of black leggings as the base and then build the rest of my outfit from there.  I wore my favorite soft gray tee — then topped it with a denim jacket and floral scarf for warmth (airplanes get cold!).  My shoes and bag were added pops of color to make the look interesting.  For those 5 1/2 hours on the plane, I was definitely comfortable!

What do you wear on long flights?  Let me know!

Keeping it quite casual for today’s post.  In honor of ‘Throwback Thursdays’ these are some photos I shot last weekend while out running errands.  It’s truly a throwback because I don’t usually wear sneakers out if I’m not headed to the gym or about to go for a run / hike / <insert exercise activity>.  The times that I do step out in sneakers during the day are rare, and the last time I remember this happening is as a graduate student.  Why the change?  It might be because the pair I’m wearing here is so classic and iconic…the Nike Air Pegasus.  It’s a fashion statement on it’s own!

Two more days until the weekend…so ready over here!  Have a great day!

Santa Cruz Wine Tasting

Happy December!  (Crazy, right?)

I took a much needed break from work and the blog this past long weekend.  It felt refreshing to disconnect from email and the laptop and spend some quality time with family and friends.  There definitely was a lot of eating going on this weekend.  How was your Thanksgiving?  I hope it was full of good food, love and laughter.

On Saturday, one of hubby’s friends joined us on a wine tasting trip down to Santa Cruz.  We visited three wineries and our first stop was David Bruce Winery (seen in these photos as the backdrop).  The other wineries we visited were Loma Prieta and Cinnabar Winery.  We had an amazing time drinking wine and learning about pairing wine and food.  As expected, I bought several bottles to take home!

I hope you have a great Monday and a wonderful week!  Thanks for visiting.  xoxo

Blazer Happy

Parker 2

My favorite combo of late is a Parker blazer paired with Hudson jeans (as can be seen in this post).  This blazer is just so fun to wear: a fun pattern in everyday-wear colors.  It’s all in the details.  I love my Hudson jeans because they fit so well and most importantly, give you the right amount of perkiness where you need it!  A slight cool front we’re experiencing allowed me to wear these rocker chic ankle boots.

I think I echo a lot of sentiments when I say that I’m loving fall and the crisp, autumn weather!

Fall Layers (at Half Moon Bay)

Remember how I wrote about my fall to-do list in this post?  Well, this past weekend I visited Bob’s Vegetable and Pumpkin Farm out in Half Moon Bay.  Pumpkin patch visit?  Check!  We picked a crisp, fall day and while a bit cool, the day turned out beautiful and golden with plenty of sun.  Half Moon Bay is a fun area to visit if you’re ever in the Bay Area.  From surfing to eating fresh seafood (try the clam chowder at Sam’s Chowder House) to biking and strolling along the beach, the area is a perfect weekend destination for locals and visitors alike.  We decided to spend an entire day in Half Moon Bay and also grabbed some coffee and dessert at the gorgeous Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay hotel.

Hope you had a great weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Took advantage of a mid-week warm evening to throw on a pair of jean cut-off shorts and red heels.  Where was I headed to after work?  Nowhere special!  Just a ramen dinner-date with the hubby.  🙂
