What did we all think about the Oscars last night? My favorite dress of the night was Lupita Nyong’o’s beautiful Prada dress — what a stunning blue color! The best beauty look for me was definitely Camila Alves and her low bun with soft waves. I saw a lot of peplum details on gowns and more pastels than darker colors. What did you like from the fashion scene at the Oscars?
Watching the Oscars was a nice way to end a rainy (and fairly gloomy) weekend. I spent a lot of time couch-side sipping on Earl Grey tea and reading a new novel I recently started. Such sweet bliss.
Hope you all had a relaxing weekend as well. It’s March already…which means saying hello to spring (soon) and the start of birthday season for me! xoxo

Good Morning! Here we are starting a brand new week. How was everyone’s weekend?
It’s been very cold this past week (well, cold for California that is) and to change things up a bit, I decided to beat the cold with this Rebecca Taylor Tweed Moto Vest. With an off-center zipper, leather trimmings, and all over tweed, this vest is super chic and a great addition to my closet. Expect to see this vest many times on the blog! Can’t wait to wear it with a silk blouse and leather leggings for an even more rocker chick style.
We put up the Christmas tree over the weekend and decorated the house with lights and small ornaments. It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas! The holidays are so much fun and I love sharing festive moments with family and friends. Next up, writing the Christmas cards! Do you and your loved ones/friends have any traditions you do together during the holidays?
Have a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by the blog! xoxo

Happy Monday everyone! I’m sharing with you some outfits I wore recently for a dinner and for a fun Sunday shopping for home decor.
I recently added these Pour La Victoire heels to the repertoire and love wearing them. Classic cool in black, they are just the right height to amplify a simple skirt. Also, I am loving this buttery, warm Botkier purse. It is the perfect accompaniment for a fall outfit.
I added to the daily mix this BCBG Edie Duffle Bag. Great color and functionality means I can use it for both work and play! It also comes in kelly green, dusty saffron, and color-blocked styles. It is a favorite in my rotation right now. This weekend I scored this vintage jewelry bust from a flea market. The black and cream makes it very French, no?
Any new additions to your wardrobe or accessories closet these days?
So excited that some new heels came in this week! It’s been crazy how many sales events happened in the last week. I mean, Black Friday discounts are already underway and we still have over a week until Thanksgiving! Well, in times like these, this fashionista gets busy shopping. I jumped on the Piperlime sale where already discounted shoes received another 15% off. Finally have coveted leopard pumps in the closet (yay)! Check back to see how I style these new beauties. For now, any of these heels would go well with this trench coat, no?
