Happy Monday! We had a gorgeous weekend in the South Bay and our little family of three strolled through the Sunnyvale Art and Wine Festival this Sunday. It was the perfect opportunity to get some outfit shots in (I know, it has been a while). I still need to be creative in choosing what to wear since I can’t quite fit into all my old clothes. However, given it’s my last month of maternity leave, I’ve finally buckled down on my workout regime (more on what I’m doing later this week!).
Hope you all had a relaxing weekend. We’ve still got a few more weeks until it’s officially summer, but it sure does feel like it in our neck of the woods!
Happy Monday! How are your resolutions holding up these first few days of the new year? Most of us are probably dreading this first day back to work or school…otherwise known as the daily routine. Well, as much as we can, let’s challenge ourselves to make this a fresh start and look at this new work/school month with a positive attitude, one week at a time. Instead of eating lunch at your desk, go someplace new for lunch (and eat something different!), instead of following the same workout regime as before, try a new class, jog outside instead of at the gym, or go to a different neighborhood to jog. Of course this is all much easier said than done but if we encourage each other and change up the routine, it’ll make this Monday and future Mondays to come a lot easier to wake up to.
And if you’re still lingering on vacation time, as I may be this particular morning, you may just find yourself perusing through your vacation photos. Here are some more from Kauai – enjoy!
Lazy afternoons by the pool. One of the best ways of exercise during pregnancy is definitely swimming and this is something I did every day in Kauai.
After a long journey home (including one cancelled flight), we are back from Kauai! Instead of a set schedule and itinerary, we decided to plan our trip day by day. In the end, it was a very relaxing trip which was just what this mama-to-be ordered. Almost every day you could find me lounging by the pool, snacking, taking a dip, rinse and repeat. There were a lot of couples who had a similar idea and we made a few friends along the way!
Hope you’re having a great week so far!
Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! We spent most of the long weekend in Carmel, CA to celebrate our anniversary. We had beautiful weather all three days, even along the coastline. I am amazed at how much Northern California has to offer each time we visit a different city. Carmel has so much history, is full of quaint homes, and is a art lover’s sanctuary. I would love to come back again!
Shirt – J.Crew / Jacket – A-Thread (similar here) / Shorts – Ann Taylor (past season, similar here) / Shoes – from small boutique shop (TOMS shoes are similar) / Bag – Coach (loving this one) / Sunglasses – Ray-Ban
As you may have heard me say many times before, the weather in Asia is hot and humid this time of year. While the first few photos above look like I was standing in a decrepit house, I was visiting Anping Tree House in Tainan, Taiwan, in which an old warehouse was taken over by a huge Banyan tree. The roots have expanded and permeated through much of the structure. Some say the house is haunted, and while there is a somewhat eerie feeling while walking through it, from an aerial view on top of the steps, the site is beautiful.
Following a day of site-seeing, a must-do is stopping by one of Taiwan’s famous shaved ice vendors. My favorite flavor is mango and as you can see they serve huge chunks of fresh cut mango with the shaved ice! So good.
Happy Friday! It’s been a crazy busy week and I am really looking forward to this weekend. I plan to continue my birthday celebrations with friends (my birthday was last week) and catch up with those I have not seen in a while. The question is, shall I go bold this weekend with bright, solid colors like above or stay with black & white? Decisions, decisions…
Hope you have a great day and an even better weekend! xoxo
Good morning! Hope you all had a great long weekend. We headed down to LA to see family and it was truly a full weekend. When you have eight nieces and nephews…it takes a lot of energy to keep up with them! My sister-in-law hosted a pool party on Saturday for her daughter’s college graduation and these photos were taken right before we left for the party.
It’s back to work this week — while it was definitely difficult to get out of bed this morning, it feels good to be home. Hope you have a wonderful week!
I hope you all had a great weekend. I’ve been trying to get back into shape (for an upcoming trip) so I spent most of my weekend outdoors, running and hitting the gym. Lucky for me, this California weather makes it easy to get out and stay active!
This spring weather has gotten me reaching for lighter pieces of clothing. I recently bought these chino pants from Banana Republic and they have been my go-to pants during the week. They are super comfortable and a nice change to my skinny jeans. I added some leopard accents to pump up the neutral colors. What do you think?
Have a great start to your week and thanks for reading! xoxo
