This past weekend, we took our nieces out for a day at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). I’ve always loved going to art museums since I was a little girl and thought this would be a fun and educational way to spend time with the nieces. The museum itself is quite large, encompassing several buildings with multiple floors of work within each building. We must have walked 3-4 miles that day! As expected, we were not allowed to take any pictures inside the museum buildings so we only have shots outside in the courtyard area. It truly was an educational experience — we covered samurai art, German Cinema in the 1920s, Jazz Age Modernist art, photography from California photographer Larry Sultan, among others. I highly recommend heading over to LACMA the next time you are in LA.
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and long weekend to unwind and relax with family and friends. Can you believe we are in a brand new month already? It will be Christmas soon in three weeks!
We took advantage of the long weekend to spend some time in Southern California with family and friends. With the great weather in California, we filled our days with outdoors-y activities – swimming (yes, it was 80+ for two days), biking, visiting museums, etc. It felt so good to close the laptop for a few days.
Now that we’re back, I feel refreshed to begin another busy work week. I did catch a small cold over the weekend so I’ll be drinking up on fluids and getting myself back to normal.
Have a great start to your week!
Happy Monday! One of the activities my mommy friends recommended that we do before the baby gets here is to go out and enjoy as many movies–in theaters–as we can. So with the big Interstellar opening up last weekend, we thought we’d go out for a casual movie date. At the risk of giving up too much plot information, I won’t give my review of the movie here, but I will say…go and see it! At about 3 hours, it is long, but a great film touching upon not just science and outer space, but also family and love, touching all emotions.
On another note, my growing belly is getting bigger by the day and I’m constantly updating my wardrobe to accommodate for it. So far, I’ve loved shopping online — it really saves time. And time is such a luxury these days. I’m trying to push myself to do more posts going forward and apologize for how quiet it’s been on the homefront.
Hope you’re having a great start to the week!
Happy Monday! I am currently in NYC enjoying a short break from work. We attended my good college friend’s gorgeous wedding in Riverhead, NY. It felt like I was back in wine country in California. My amazing friend and the bride, Charlotte, did a lot of the decor and design herself. So creative and beautiful. It was a wonderful wedding and a chance for me to catch up with many friends who live on the east coast and whom I went to school with. I am an east coast girl at heart and it feels great to be back!
I’m currently sitting in a coffee shop owned by a high school classmate, Gregory Zamfotis, called Gregory’s Coffee. And where else but in the Fashion District! This has been a dream of his and I’m really happy he’s made it happen. I had the espresso (of course) and it was really good. Stop by if you’re ever in the Big Apple.
Hope you are having a good start to the week. I head back to the Bay Area tomorrow! xoxo
I can’t get enough of wearing white/cream these days. It fits my every mood and just feels so fresh. To counter the simple sweater-and-skirt look, I wore some sassy heels to add a bit of edge.
My weekend was low-key as I gear up for a lot of travel in the upcoming weeks. Let wedding season and vacation season begin!
Have a great Monday! xoxo

I am back in the Bay Area after a wonderful six days in Hawaii. Our vacation was everything I could have hoped for — laying out by the pool, playing water sports in the ocean, gobbling up delicious fresh food, and sipping tropical drinks under the shining sun.
I took these photos right before we went to dinner at Roy’s. The sun just set so the background is a little darker than usual. I love the spark of color in this neon yellow skirt. It accents the black and white tee so well and shines so bright against the night sky.
It’s hard to get back to the daily grind, but I can say I came back home feeling refreshed! Hope you have a great day! xoxo
