Love Day

Hope you all had a great weekend!  It’s always hard to jump back into the swing of things especially after a long weekend.  Given that I am almost 38 weeks pregnant, I tried to rest as much as I could over the last few days, catching up on reading, doing light housework in prep for baby’s arrival, and enjoying time with the hubby over brunch and romantic dinners.

Our Valentine’s Day was low key, but still very sweet this year.  I picked up this cute t-shirt from Mom’s the Word, a boutique maternity clothing store that I’ve raved about in previous posts.  I knew this would be the perfect Valentine’s Day outfit.  I started the day with a much needed pedicure.  We strolled through our local farmer’s market, grabbed a late lunch, took a nap, and ended the day with a dinner date.  The weather was gorgeous to boot (a sunny 75 degrees)!

Now, it’s back to work for a couple more weeks…have a wonderful day!

I’m excited for a new collaboration that is in the works right now!  Make sure to check back soon as I will be posting some style pics of this collaboration.

In the meantime, in preparation for your Valentine’s Day night out, night in or an all-girls party, here are some small touches of love for you to peruse.

Share Your Heart on Valentine’s Day

Friday is here!  You all know what I’ll be up to this weekend from my last post, and that means I’ll definitely be donning some red (maybe pink) and gorging on some good Asian food.

For those who’s favorite colors might not be red or pink, I want to share some Valentine’s day inspiration I’m currently coveting that are not all about those colors.  Let’s start with the outfit above.  How about sharing your love with a (non-red-nor-pink) heart sweatshirt?  Play with layers and pull it over a plaid shirt and under a camel coat.  Love how the handbag’s pop of red is just the right touch of bright color.

Other ways to get the look:

A Look for Love

full_skirt_layered_lookHello!  I am back from my weekend getaway in Colorado.  It has been a busy couple of days hanging out with family so I did not get a chance to post the last few days.  However, I am back and ready to get into the swing of things.  I love the image above from the Glitter Guide.  This photo is one of the 8 inspiring looks they put together in preparation for the upcoming NYFW.  Love how the skirt is carefree and flowing and the layered knit sweater combo makes the whole outfit appropriate for winter.

With Valentine’s Day coming our way, I’ve put together a similar look with some red colors.  This would be a perfect day-to-night look that is both comfortable and chic all in one.  What better than to look your best AND feel good?
